Sand cast lead is a traditional but highly effective manufacturing process in which molten lead is poured onto a bed of sand to create Lead Sheet to BS 12588 thicknesses, allowed to cool and cut manually to customer specified dimensions, then rolled for storage and shipping.
The sand-casting process offers great flexibility in terms of design and size, allowing us to handle both small batches and large production runs.

Our Sand Cast Lead Manufacturing Process
Melting and Pouring
Lead is carefully melted in our controlled furnaces to the correct temperature. Once molten, the lead is poured onto a meticulously prepared bed of sand.
Cooling and Removal
The molten lead cools and solidifies as Lead Sheets, and after cooling it is cut manually to Customer Specified dimensions and rolled for storage and shipping.
Finishing and Quality Control
Each item is thoroughly inspected to ensure it complies with your specifications and our quality standards.
